I enjoy working with special needs, delayed, and emotional kids. Growing up, my brother had Asperger's, before that was a diagnosis. My oldest son also struggled in school and had his own set of IEPs and specialists. I know the drill.
As a lifetime learner who originally obtained an AA degree in Behavioral Science (emphasis in Psych.); I went on to attain a BA degree in Speech Communications (emphasis in Rhetoric and Public Speaking) with a minor in marketing (emphasis in Sustainable Marketing), here in Colorado, at MSU. Since my true passions lie in math and the sciences, that meant having to accept a talent in subjects for which I didn't always find interest.
My kids are all grown now, but in addition to tutoring them at home (including homeschooling my youngest pre-K), I would help other adults at work through their computer and software issues; I really enjoy giving the gift of a new skill and am somewhat of a software (especially the office suite) nerd.
I do enjoy life outside of work and other confined spaces, as I have a special love for the outdoors. My dogs are rarely far behind me, and we enjoy camping, hiking, and long walks through the Cherry Creek State Park together. A long time ago, the kids and I enjoyed riding dirt bikes and four-wheeling in the campgrounds up above Nederland.
Although I am all about fun and games in my spare time, when it comes to work, I like working. I hope to share my enjoyment in a job well done and goals accomplished.
I wish you success.
