I am currently working towards my degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia. I've enjoyed mentorship and tutoring since my 9th-grade summer where I was a tutor and counselor at an annual summer camp. Since then, I have had the opportunity to mentor and help those who come from low-income backgrounds to achieve their educational goals through clubs in my high school and even in my family where my sister has been diagnosed with slight autism.
I tutor biology and up to college-level calculus. I love both of these subjects because it's amazing to learn biological functions and just appreciate them when you can actually identify them in your daily life. Math is just fun, I love it! I plan to use both of these interests to eventually develop low-cost, high-performance prosthetics to ensure equal opportunities for many others.
I enjoying getting to know my students and typically teach by going through assignments/tests with them to learn and reinforce concepts.
Outside of academia, I love computers, anime, running, reading, videogames, and just having fun.
I believe that learning never ends and it's one of the many joys of this life.
