I am a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I'm studying Economics and Computer Science, and in my free time I love playing piano, baking lemon bars, and drawing.
The main subjects I tutor in are Mathematics and Science, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Biology. I also have experience working with students on test prep, especially for the SAT Reading and Writing sections.
My tutoring style is about using intuitive approaches for students of all ages to try and explain concepts in ways that are already familiar. Often, I find that students are scared of subjects like mathematics because the concepts can seem so far removed from our day to day lives. I hope to bridge that gap. I also believe in the importance of practice, practice, practice, and in the case of standardized testing, nothing is as powerful as practice problems.
I am available for online tutoring most weeknights and weekend mornings, and am flexible with scheduling. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, and I hope to work with you soon!
