About Me

I am a student at the University of Chicago, and am majoring in Anthropology and Linguistics. I graduated from Whitney Young High School and tutored students there in French. I am currently learning Armenian, my fourth language, and I love tutoring foreign languages because I love helping students discover the ins and outs of a new language and culture. I also have experience tutoring elementary school students in reading, writing, and math through 826CHI's After School Tutoring and Writing Project. I am also a writer and editor, and writing is one of my favorite subjects to tutor because I love helping students master the craft themselves and seeing their writing improve. I believe in working very interactively with students in order to help them discover ways to solve new problems on their own and improve their methods for and interest in learning.
