I recently graduated from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of FAU with a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts & Sciences with a concentration in Biochemistry. I aspire to bridge the gap between science, creativity, and philanthropy through nonprofit ventures. I am a self-starter and enjoy helping people by developing and implementing ideas that address current needs. I co-founded Mind&Melody, Inc., a nonprofit that focuses on implementing interactive volunteer based music programs with educational and therapeutic benefits for individuals with dementia, stroke, and Parkinson’s.
My academic background is in Biochemistry and Research. I have been involved in several research projects at reputable institutions, such as the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, Scripps Research Institute, Max Planck Research Institute and the University of Tubingen in Germany.
I am also very passionate tutoring and simplifying complex topics in simple terms. I believe in a hands on approach to learning and teaching. I have experience mentoring middle schools students, teaching chemistry, biology, math, and spanish. I have also prepared foreign students for the TOEFL exam and taught English to native spanish-speaking adults.
I am available all days of the week at anytime and I'm very flexible and patient. Also if you need help with your resume, college essays, finding internships and/or talking about potential career paths I'm the person to call!
I look forward to working with you :)
