I received my Master's degree in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge in the UK, graduating with Distinction. Before that, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science (BS) and Philosophy (BA) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I received Highest Honors for my senior thesis and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. I have been working as a tutor and teacher for almost 10 years, and my experience has ranged from working one-on-one with students on SAT and GRE test preparation, to teaching a summer course in Philosophy at Oxford University, to volunteering as an assistant teacher at Carrboro Middle School in North Carolina. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am especially enjoy working with students on Math, English, and Writing. I always work on first ensuring that students understand the underlying fundamental concepts before tackling more complex problems. I love to use real-world, relevant examples to make concepts come to life, and I always try to instill a love and excitement for the subject by making my sessions as animated and exciting as possible. In my spare time, I love to read, do yoga, and go running in Prospect Park.
