I graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Language and Linguistics and a minor in Math. My tutoring career began at my university when I started tutoring Math, French, and Arabic at our university tutoring center. I fell in love with teaching others and decided to spend a year teaching English in China after graduation. It was the best decision I've ever made and I learned so much, about myself and about teaching. It was also exciting to travel and see the world. Since I've returned, I have been teaching and tutoring in the Austin area. While I have tutored a wide range of subjects including English, Chemistry, Physics, Social Studies, French, Arabic and ESL, my favorite subject to teach is Math. I have loved math since I was a student myself and I really enjoy getting to share knowledge with my students and show them how beautiful Math can be. When it comes to learning, I think that the one-on-one attention a student can get from a tutor can make all the difference in building self-confidence and mastering the material. I always try to build strong relationships with my clients and create an environment where they can ask questions and get help when they need it. Only when we have trust and a safe environment can learning truly happen! In my spare time I enjoy listening to and playing music, reading, and watching soccer with my family.
