Art history has always been my passion, but I also strongly believe in the importance of a diverse, liberal arts education, which I received at my undergrad institution, Skidmore College. At Skidmore I earned my bachelor’s degree in art history, where I also studied Classics, anthropology, psychology, history, English, and government, and spent one glorious semester studying abroad in Paris. At Skidmore I gained tutoring experience working as a peer-mentor, art history tutor, note-taker, and providing SAT prep and general homework help, as well as teaching English while studying in Paris. After Skidmore I moved to London where I earned my Master of Arts in art history at the Courtauld Institute of Art. Currently I am pursuing a doctoral degree at Boston University, with a focus on Renaissance art. Primarily I tutor subjects in the humanities, particularly history, English and, naturally, art history, but I also enjoy working with elementary and middle school students in all subjects. I love tutoring art history and introducing students to a discipline that they may not be as familiar with, and also have a passion for American and European history. For me, making a real connection with a student is a crucial part of tutoring. I am incredibly personable, relaxed, and patient and am able to set students at ease. In addition to a having a passion for travel, I love to read, enjoy scrapbooking, rock-climbing, and baking.
