After serving in the U. S. Marine Corps, I received my Master of Arts degree in art therapy from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT. My undergraduate work was at Rhode Island College where I received two Bachelor of Arts degrees. I majored in cultural anthropology, and minored in studio art. I also concentrated on elementary education and middle school social studies so I could earn my teaching certifications. Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences always intrigued me, and I incorporate those practices in teaching. My experience ranges from teaching public school classrooms and online students to working at veteran's hospitals practicing art therapy. With such diverse experiences it is a pleasure to meet and tutor students from all backgrounds and learning abilities. I try to impact and motivate my students to bring out their best talents, raise self esteem and make them excited about learning.
