Hey there! My name is Hannah, and I am an Educator and Activist, specializing in youth development. I have a Graduate Degree in Women's & Gender Studies and have previously worked as a high school math teacher, academic & test prep tutor, nanny, after school program coordinator, and manager of youth programs at a Chicago-based non-profit. I am Jewish, can speak some Spanish, am a trained domestic violence advocate, and love reading, cooking and traveling! I tutor multiple levels of academic Math, Spanish, and ACT & SAT prep (focusing on Math/English sections). I am also available to help with high school and college level writing, and college admissions essays. My philosophy as a tutor is that students know more than they think they do. I like to guide my students through solving problems by using their prior knowledge and experience, and by asking questions so that they can participate as much as I do. My favorite thing about being an educator is the relationships I build with my students.
