Continued with review for upcoming final exam. Most of our practice dealt with rate problems as they pertain to derivatives. The student did a very good job dissecting each problem in order to effectively solve them. Also did addition review with derivatives and limits. She has a very firm grasp of this material and should do well on her upcoming exam.

The student and I worked on several topics. We reviewed inverse trig derivatives and the chain rule. We then addressed several difficult substitution integrals involving careful choices and manipulation of this equation. The student choose unconventional values on his exam but did manage to find the correct answers so I recommend speaking to the professor. The student continues to excel with the technical aspects of calculus.

We focused on dividing three to four digit numbers by two digit numbers. The student understands the concept; she just needs to practice memorizing her multiplication table, writing her numbers clearly, checking her work for accuracy, and analyzing word problems. Her attitude was once again extremely positive. I taught her a strategy for figuring out the highest number a number is divisible by. I then left her with a word problem to work out on her own. I hope to work on some more word problems with her to make sure she understands how to break them down
