About Me

As a passionate educator with a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, I specialize in reading and writing, including essay writing and editing. I have over a decade of professional writing and editing experience as both a lawyer and magazine writer and editor, helping writers develop their voice and writing skills. Among my AP classes/exams were AP English Literature, which I loved (hence why I majored in English in college). I have taught everyone from first graders to high school students. I strive to connect with each student by tailoring my approach to their individual needs and encouraging critical thinking and creativity. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and exploring various literary genres, which continually enriches my teaching practice.
