About Me

I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Elementary Education and currently teach 6th grade. I'm deeply passionate about helping students build confidence, develop strong academic skills, and experience those exciting "lightbulb moments." My strongest subject area is English Language Arts. I love helping students improve their reading comprehension, writing clarity, and overall literacy skillsand I always have engaging book recommendations ready for every reading level and interest. As a full-time teacher, I bring a calm, supportive, and structured approach to tutoring. I understand how to identify learning gaps quickly and break down skills in a way that feels encouraging, not overwhelming. Parents often tell me they appreciate my communication, patience, and ability to make learning enjoyable for even reluctant learners. When I'm not teaching or tutoring, you'll usually find me reading, hiking, or spending time outdoors. I bring that same energy and enthusiasm into every session.
