About Me

I am deeply passionate about helping students because I truly believe in the transformative power of self-mastery and confidence. There's something incredibly fulfilling about watching someone gain a deeper understanding of a subject, overcome challenges, and ultimately succeed in their goals. It's this sense of progress and achievement that motivates me every day in my work as a tutor. I graduated from the Penn State Schreyer Honors College in 2020 with a B.S. in Economics. Throughout my education, I cultivated a deep love for learning and problem-solving, particularly in math. My dad, a statistician, played a big role in fostering my appreciation for the subject, and I have always enjoyed helping others navigate the challenges of mathematics. As a tutor, I specialize in math test preparation, particularly the SAT Math section. My approach to teaching is firm but observant; I believe in maintaining high standards while also being attuned to the needs of my students. This balance allows me to challenge them to grow while providing the support and guidance they need to succeed. Outside of academics, I enjoy journaling, trying new foods, and meeting new people. I find that these interests help me stay grounded and open-minded, qualities I try to bring into my tutoring practice. I'm committed to not only helping students excel academically but also encouraging their personal growth and development. Ultimately, my goal as a tutor is to instill confidence in my students, showing them that they are capable of achieving their academic goals and beyond.
