About Me

Currently in the process of applying to medical school, I have my eyes set on becoming a physician, specifically an oncologist. I want to be a physician because I want to be a scientist, clinician, support system, and advocate for patients. I am drawn to the lifelong learning environment a physician explores, both from pursuing research questions and from connecting with patients. I am currently a Clinical Research Associate at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where I lead patient management for a number of groundbreaking clinical trials in the Multiple Myeloma service. I also recently studied for the MCAT, in which I self-disciplined with a set of Kaplan books, and scored in the 96th percentile. In conjunction with my clinical ambitions, I am also passionate about the learning environment and supportive opportunities that come with tutoring. Prior to Varsity Tutors, I gained tutoring experience in both high school and college. When I graduated from Colgate University, I was dedicated to continue this work in New York City. I am eager to translate my love for learning and promote an encouraging, comfortable, and supportive learning space. I view tutoring as an opportunity to improve my students' weaknesses, as well as expand their strengths. In order to accomplish these feats, I work to adjust my approach to fit each student's needs. My interest in tutoring is driven by my desire to support students, as well as learn from them. I am eager to connect with a wide range of students throughout the New York area.
