Their program is ranked one of the best in the nation for preparing undergraduate math educators. I took classes from nationally recognized professors with decades of experience. My favorite part of tutoring is to watch students learn. I love to see those moments when the light bulb comes on for them. I believe that different students need to learn differently. I am patient and encouraging with students as we figure out what they need. I enjoy breaking concepts down as much as it takes for students to begin to understand and build up. I think this conceptual understanding is crucial and I love helping others create it. I have experience both tutoring in person and online. I have tutored online on and off for about two years. I worked for a year as a general tutor at a dorm where I focused mostly on high school math and chemistry. I tutor all math: everything from elementary to college subjects. I also tutor Spanish; I lived in South America for a year and a half and speak fluently. Besides teaching I love hiking and camping. My favorite way to spend an evening is out at the park playing sports with my husband.

I love playing nerdy board games with my husband. I enjoy cooking and baking. I especially enjoy having too many sweet treats around after. I also love the outdoors; I easily prefer a hike to a movie any day.
