About Me

Private Math/English tutor with 14+ years experience (significant focus on elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra and algebra). A studious student, I discovered an interest in tutoring through volunteer work while in high school. In the winter of 2002, I was employed through the America Counts program, where I began professionally tutoring students 1-on-1 in elementary math. I obtained my bachelors degree in 2007 in Computer Information Systems, gaining a refresh in algebra and pre-calculus. Due to my interests in writing and speech, I also hold a minor in Communications. My approach with tutoring is to understand their strengths and weaknesses through diagnostic tests and practical applications. I also believe our time is what the students makes it: if they want to grow, they must be willing to work. As a tutor, I'm here to supplement their education and provide guidance with stumbling blocks. Outside of work, I am committed to the work of Lord's church, having prepared biblical lessons and trained young students on how to prepare and write speeches. In addition, I also commit time to physical fitness and recreation. If you choose to match with your student with me, it is my objective to help them reach their inner potential.
