I received my Bachelor of Arts in Literature, with a primary focus in African American Literature, and Print Journalism and was on the Dean’s List. I am currently enrolled in 12-week course to become a certified ESL instructor to teach non-English speaking young adults in Austria. I tutor a broad range of subjects dealing primarily with English and American Literature, as well as creative and essay writing. As a former high school student, I tended to struggle with my studies. My mother kindly enrolled me with talented and dedicated tutors. I finally got the one-on-one attention I needed and my academic career improved tremendously. I will dedicate myself to improving a student’s learning the same way I was taught. I believe a friendly demeanor and patience allows for a student to feel confident and comfortable while engaging with the curriculum. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, hiking, relaxing with my 11-year-old dog, and cooking.
