During my time at the tutoring center, I worked with students from various backgrounds including undergraduate, graduate, ESL, and continuing education. Additionally, I worked for several summers with the university's summer institute preparing incoming college freshman for a writing-intensive and rigorous liberal arts education. Although, I have primarily tutored college-aged students, I have experience working with younger students through non-tutoring volunteer work and babysitting. I am available to tutor reading and writing for all ages and French 1 and 2. My favorite subjects to tutor, however, are writing and literature. I believe strong reading and writing skills and an appreciation for great writing can not only help a person attain practical educational and professional goals, but can, much more importantly, transform a person's outlook on life. In my free time, I enjoy creative writing, painting, cooking, reading, and basically doing all things that make the right side of my brain jump for joy.
