About Me

I love to teach! I have been teaching for over 16 years and have tutored Spanish, Math, and all things English. I can help you with all of your writing goals. I specialize in Academic writing, the writing process, editing, and writing for standardized tests. I am known in some circles as the Grammar Specialist. If you are confused with structures and usage, I would love to work with you. I can also help you with Reading, Phonics, or Literature. My day job is to train teachers who teach English to non-native speakers, so my skills are honed and strategic. If you are confused, I can explain it to you in a way that is useful for you. Now let's talk about Spanish! I would love to help you reach your goals with this fun language. Whether just starting out or working your way through higher college-level classes, you will have fun and feel comfortable under my tutelage. I also love to teach math to elementary and middle school students because I have a knack for making math practical for them so that the more advanced math in their future is less intimidating. My teaching philosophy: Any student can learn anything. We will find a method that works for you and we will outline specific go-to strategies that you can carry with you forever. My enthusiasm is contagious! I am relatively new to Colorado and I am having a lot of fun exploring this beautiful state. In my free time I like to volunteer, dance, and listen to music from around the globe.
