Two English degrees give Anthony an unusual depth on the reading and writing side of middle school — he can pinpoint whether a student's essay struggles stem from grammar mechanics, argument structure, or simply not knowing how to read a prompt carefully. That literary and linguistic backbone also means he's the right fit when a sixth or seventh grader needs to level up from paragraph responses to multi-page papers with real thesis statements.

I am an energetic, positive, 26-year-old teacher who graduated with my MFA from the University of Notre Dame in 2017. I am currently teaching Second Grade, but have extensive and varied teaching experience, having taught students of all ages, even university level! I also have experience working with students with behavior and learning differences. It is my goal to make all of my students feel encouraged, heard, motivated, and successful.

I am a graduate of Rice University with prior teaching and tutoring experience focusing on middle school/high school math. I have been working with Varsity Tutors since 2017 and tutoring in math since I was in High School. I enjoy tutoring as a means of imparting knowledge on to others and find no better feeling than when a student is able to fully comprehend a concept and replicate that knowledge on their own.

I am most passionate about teaching anything within the Arts (e.g. Literature), French language and culture, and the purer side of Mathematics, where the abstractions of numbers give us the freedom to do with them what we will. I also love helping students work their way through the daunting task of preparing for standardized tests. I have often found that my past students have gotten tangled in the problems that have been set out for them, and I have always found success in teaching the conceptual framework behind these problems, so that they learn to find solutions by whatever means they prefer. As indicated by my degrees at the beginning, I am incredibly passionate about film and film studies I am a huge movie buff. But perhaps the most important thing I can say about myself is that I don't believe that any subject is out of reach for any student. It's just about finding a way through the jargon to something that makes sense.

I am a graduate of the University of Louisville, holding Bachelor's Degrees in English and Political Science, minors in Spanish and Social Change, and a Certificate in Peace, Justice, and Conflict Transformation. Although my major studies were not specifically within education, I discovered that my heart belongs in the classroom, as I love seeing students discover their strengths and skills. I hold strong to having a "growth mindset" and being a continuous learner. I believe in the power of education to empower all students. I am passionate about helping others achieve to the best of their abilities!

I am a junior communication sciences and disorders major at Brescia University in Owensboro Kentucky. My current G.P.A. is a 3.78. I am involved on campus and I am a student leader of multiple organizations. I am also member of the Alpha Chi Honors Society at my University. Some of my tutoring experience includes tutoring elementary and middle school students. I also have volunteered to help tutor at the local refugee center. Something that I feel will help me with tutoring is that growing up with a learning disability I had to learn to adapt my studying techniques to best fit me as well as learned persistence. I know how frustrating it can me to struggle in something and I want to be that to guide you to do your best. I like to adjust my tutoring techniques to specifically around my clients to help them improve. I am an Honors Scholar graduate of the University of Louisville. I received my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration in Accountancy and had minors in Economics and Psychology. In the fall of 2022, I will be heading to the University of Georgia to pursue a Law degree. I came into the tutoring world 8 years ago by teaching my sister and her friends. I slowly started getting other tutoring opportunities through Mathnasium, Wyzant, and the League Pro KY. Through these platforms, I was able to teach students from grades K-12 in subjects like Math, English, SAT, ACT, Public Speaking, Economics, Psychology, and others. Growing up, I have always had a passion for working with kids and helping them get the opportunity to learn and discover new fields. I started up and coached the Mock Trial team at Meyzeek Middle School to satisfy this motive. As Mock Trial Coach, I was able to introduce the legal field with middle school students, all by improving their public speaking skills, confidence, and legal knowledge. In my experience working with kids, it was really rewarding to see them learn more in their subjects and overcome the challenges they had prior to their tutoring journey. I know how important it is to have the right person guide you through your journey since I have been through the same phase myself. I try my best to do whatever I can to help students reach their goals all by having fun!

I am an ESL teacher, and English is my passion! I love to go on long walks, make new recipes, and curl up with a good book. I also enjoying playing my flute, which I have played for 15 years! I'm excited to get to know you and help you reach your unique goals.
