I recently graduated from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY with my BA in English Literature and Secondary Education. I plan on attending Marist College in Summer 2017 to obtain my Master's in Educational Psychology. My passion for English had started in my early days in elementary school when I used reading and writing as an escape, and a way to express my feelings when I felt like I wasn't being listened to. However my passion for Education arose when I found I genuinely enjoyed helping my peers with their homework, with lessons, and even with projects. I love to see the look of students and peers when they finally understand something that had been escaping them. I also just really like helping people in anyway that I can.Although, don't be frightened, I'm actually a pretty relatable person so if something is bothering you, don't be afraid and know you can tell me. I've helped many peers in the past both with their coursework and also with things that were bothering them. Funny enough when the personal problem was solved I saw a strong comeback in the subject that was bothering them.The way I look at it I'm here to help you succeed, and I will use my content and education knowledge to help you in every area and in every way that I can. I have had nearly 100% success with every student that I've worked with. What about the "nearly" you might ask? Hello,I'm currently going into my senior year of college. I'm working towards my B.S in Biology. I'm interested in going into medicine. I believe that my personality and past experience would make me a great fit for medical school. I've taken a decent amount of upper level Biology and Chemistry courses in my undergraduate studies. I've worked in the medical field as well as in public health. I love challenging myself and stepping out of my comfort zone. I am a former medical student with two years of experience under my belt and a Bachelor's in Biology. I am currently working for a tech giant. I have years of tutoring STEM subjects and being a mentor for undergraduate students in Upstate New York. The world of science and how the human body interacts with its surroundings fascinates me! Therefore, it is no surprise I enjoy tutoring Anatomy and Microbiology up to the college level. I also enjoy teaching high school and lower level sciences . My method is simple, we learn together and use tools that best work for you (visual or auditory). I'll try to spark an interest in your learning capabilities and facilitate every step of the way. We all speak a language which makes it common to all of us. This reflects the nature of language and the will or the need to communicate. Yet all the languages are not the same and, learning them can be something difficult but necessary for intercultural exchange to people in contact. I will be glad as a French near-native speaker, to help people achieve that goal.

I am very passionate about the German language and culture and I am eager to ignite this passion in others. I began studying German at age 12 in middle school and went on to complete a BA degree at the State University of New York at Oswego. I subsequently completed a Masters degree through Middlebury College and was able to study in Berlin, Germany during this time. I believe in taking an academic as well as cultural approach to language learning, so that the language can truly "come alive" in the mind of the student.

I am professionally employed as a E-learning Developer. I have obtained my Master degree from University of Twente Netherlands. I'm proficient in programming languages like Java, Python etc. I have over ten years of combined experience in education and development.

I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Physics from SUNY at Albany, and have performed research in an optics lab, having published a couple papers during that time. The coursework in physics is an extensive overview of many mathematical topics, including algebra, geometry, and calculus (multi-variable or vector). A strong intuition of maths and the language used to describe physical phenomena is something I have gained in my studies, and lends itself well to teaching these topics to others.In addition, I also teach the classical guitar privately and in several private schools in Upstate New York. I am in my fifth year of instruction, having earned my Associates degree in music performance for classical guitar. I am well-versed in music theory and jazz.

I am a Graduate Student completing my MS in Secondary Education for English at SUNY at Albany. In May, I will have my NYS Teaching Certification. I got my BA in English at the same university, where I also double minored in Creative Writing and Film Studies. I've taught in middle and high school classrooms, and I can't wait to continue teaching here.I've learned so much about the importance of collaboration and student agency in learning. I also believe in the importance of meeting the specific needs and honoring the unique interests of each student. Every person I meet is capable of accomplishing more than they know. My job is just to help them see that for themselves through time and practice. I tutor English and Literature, and I love bringing film, television, and creativity into the classroom! I use knowledge of each individual student , researched based strategies, and hands on learning to help students achieve his/her learning goal.

With experience working with young elementary students, high school students, college applicants, and college students, I bring an eagerness to adapt my guidance to each individual.
