About Me

I am a currently certified Elementary Educator with my ESOL Endorsement. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and was in the Kappa Delta Pi Education Honors Society while in college. I have known that I wanted to be a teacher since I was in fourth grade and helped out after school at a local preschool. Seeing my students successfully grow, both socially and academically, is so fulfilling and continues to inspire me in my teaching endeavors. I have 11 years experience teaching kindergarten and first grade students. I also have some experience working with second grade students. Parents of former students have described me as "always smiling", "kind", "positive", and "hard-working/dedicated". Former students have said that they will remember me for my kindness, happiness, how I helped them learn to read, and how I made learning fun for them. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing with my sweet rescue dog, cooking, and (slowly) attempting to teach myself amateur photography.
