Growing up with my siblings and being able to support them with their academics is the main reason why I became a tutor. I noticed how much joy it brought me when I got to see them become more confident in their abilities to excel. This experience motivated me to not only tutor others but also to receive my degree in elementary education (grades K-8) and major in mathematics.

I took part in the running start program during my last two years of high school and graduated with my diploma and associate's degree in arts and sciences. Later, I was accepted into the Woodring College of Education within Western Washington University. I've been tutoring for about three years now (mostly for those who have IEP's). I tutor math, reading, and writing primarily. My goal in each of my sessions with students is to get to know them, their learning styles/needs, and how to present information most efficiently. My tutoring style is very preparative and hands-on.

I'm constantly learning and adapting as I assist students, so they take away the utmost positive experience. I'm passionate about what I do because I can help others identify their strengths and give them tools to create ease throughout the rest of their education.
