I have several years of experience working with young children and adult learners with special needs in Westchester County New York as an assistant teacher. I received a Bachelor of Arts in African Studies with a minor in history from Hofstra University. I received a Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Operations Management from Colorado Technical University. Since graduation, I have worked with the DC Teaching Fellows program as a lead teacher, supporting students with learning disabilities within the DC public school system. My approach to teaching and tutoring students is one that is done with inquiry, understanding and adaptation. I like to assess my students to see what they know, what they want to know and where they need assistance. Then create a plan to ensure that I can best fit their academic needs.
