Tutoring with humor and compassion.
I'm a first-generation college graduate from a working-class family. My teachers were some of the most influential people in my life and I want to pass on their legacy by helping students succeed. I have previous experience tutoring high school chemistry and I have taught both science majors and non-majors at ASU and MCC. I start working with new students by asking about their goals, and determining their preferred learning styles to help customize their learning experience. I use a variety of well-established teaching and learning strategies that work with how the brain, memory, and human behavior function best.
