About Me

I love working one-on-one with students, finding a level and an approach that works for each individual. I have several years' experience as an independent math and test prep tutor, working with students at a variety of levels and ages, including adults. For math students, I work to engender a real understanding of the underlying concepts, rather than just memorization. Under test pressure you may forget what you memorize, but you won't forget what you understand. I have an advanced degree in Computer Sciences, and am currently finishing a master's degree in Community Counseling.
