I graduated from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy in 2014. I recently returned to Albuquerque after spending a year in Spokane, Washington working with individuals experiencing homelessness. In addition to tutoring I work for Children's Choice after school program and hope to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology very soon. I would like to become a therapist in the future, and like to think my experience working with my students will help me when working with future clients. In my free time I like to play board games, do yoga, go hiking, and read books. I really like science fiction so if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!
I do standardized test prep tutoring, with my favorite test to tutor being the ACT. My tutoring style is to adapt my method to each individual student. Different things work for different people and I will do my very best to try and find a method that works for you. I will also try and help you create a study plan to organize your studying and reduce stress. Together we can see those test scores go up!
