Fortunate for me, given my extensive healthcare and teaching experience, I secured a position as a Program Director for Health Professions at a private college in New York and after achieving so many student successes, I was promoted to the position of Associate Dean for Health Professions at the College of Westchester in White Plains NY. The same passion I had for taking care of patients earlier in my career carried over into my new career as an academic. I've got over 5 years of experience now as a full-time professional tutor, and I've worked with students from a variety of cultures and academic backgrounds, including the US, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Colombia, Guatemala, and Mexico. I've been lucky enough to teach and travel in all those countries as well, having lived in Shanghai for 3 years and going on 2 in Mexico City now. The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is when I can take a passage or sentence structure or concept that seems like complete gibberish at first to my students and have them explain the concept back to me by the end of class. That flash of insight, that ohhh I get it! moment is why I continue to seek out new students who want to learn and improve so that I can share my expertise and knowledge of these exams with them.
