I grew up in Austria speaking German where I earned a Bachelor in Elementary Education before moving to the states. While learning another language I know firsthand how difficult it can be to speak up and actually use what you know. I want to foster confidence in students ability to speak and listen to German by giving them plenty of time to practice with me and in turn allow them to meet their educational goals. Not only can students learn the ins and outs of the German language but I can show them insights into Austrian or German culture and traditions.

I've been teaching math, physics, and economics from grades 6-12 for the last 15 years. I was certified to teach in Michigan and Illinois, and taught in both states. I have also taken classes in cognitive research, which has helped me understand how to teach most effectively so that students and properly understand and retain the information that they're learning. Because I've taught many different subjects and age groups, I have a broader understanding of teaching and learning than most educators, which helps me find a particular way to best help the individual student.

I am a soon-to-be law student who enjoys working with people, and would love to help you prepare for the LSAT!

My tutoring experience in Moths was amazing, my students made tremendous results after their first month. My teaching philosophy essentially consist of teaching and re-teaching. So consistency is one of my strategy used, combined with regular quizzes to evaluate the student's knowledge. I love to go to the movies on my free time.

At ASU I earned a BA in French, and I also participated in a study abroad program during the summer of 2015 in which I went to Qubec City and intensively studied French as a foreign language, which deeply enriched my knowledge of the variety of the French language. While completing my French degree, I also worked through a BS in Biology. Science and the scientific method have likewise inspired me and deeply influence my way of thinking, as I feel it should for almost anyone. Science, and especially biology, pushes the bounds of our understanding of life on earth and medicine. I have spent a great deal of time providing balance between science and the humanities. Even in one of the most famous works of Franois Rabelais, Gargantua stresses the importance of balance to his son Pantagruel, including the suggestion of at least 5 languages. Borrowing from this sagacity, I hope to mold others as well to see the joy of education, science, and language.

Kenny is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, minoring in Chemistry and Music. While at UPenn, he was a member of the Cognitive Science Honors Program, where he completed his published thesis in Cognitive Musicology. He was also a contributing author to UPenn's undergraduate medical journal Synapse, played both saxophone and piano for the Penn Jazz Band, and served as a tutor and TA for a wide range of core science and neuroscience courses.Kenny scored in the top percentiles in both the SAT and ACT, with additional expertise on the SAT Subject Tests and AP exams in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. With a wealth of tutoring and TA experience at both the high school and undergraduate levels, Kenny brings a highly focused, active, and engaging approach to standardized test preparation and academic support. A Symbolic Systems and Theater double-major at Stanford University in Northern California, Milan is very excited to be a part of the Varsity Tutors team. His main academic interests are English, philosophy, math, and computer science, but Milan enjoys many other subjects (psychology, physics, and economics to name a few). He is fluent in Spanish and an active member of the Latino community. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, and taking the occasional photograph.
