About Me

The way we think about ourselves shapes the way we learn. For instance, what do you believe you are capable of and why do you want to achieve the goals you set? As a research psychologist and educator, I've seen firsthand how transformative it can be when a student reflects on these and other important questions. I take a human-centered approach to tutoring, providing understanding, empathy, and skill building. I have been working with students for over ten years, working as a one-on-one tutor and teaching a wide variety of psychology courses at the college level. I am passionate about human behavior, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Science in Social Psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Psychology from the University of Georgia. I have taught and/or tutored in various topics in Psychology (e.g., Research Methods, Health, Social), Statistics, Mathematics (e.g., Geometry, Algebra I and II), and Test Preparation (e.g., SAT). What I truly love about tutoring and mentoring students is getting to know what interests and inspires them, helping them enact evidence-based strategies for learning, and seeing their reactions to their own growth and improvement.
