About Me

I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a bachelor of arts in Language and Culture and a minor in Biology. Since I graduated, I studied to get my TEFL certification and started teaching ESL to various students. I also worked as a research assistant at the New York Botanical Garden researching algae and the evolutionary processes happening in Michigan's lakes. I have experience tutoring a wide range of subjects including English (writing, reading, grammar, conversation), Beginning Italian, Creative Writing, Biology, AP Government, and others. I am passionate about every subject I tutor as I love learning more than anything else and cannot possibly choose a favorite. I firmly believe that education should be student-centered and that we should break down the rampant fear of failure and accept that mistakes are part of the learning process. When I'm not teaching, I love reading, writing, and sewing.
