About Me

It is my firm belief that individualized education is the greatest benefit an educator can offer their students. Every student is different. It is important to recognize that and determine what learning style is best suited for them. Just because a student may struggle with a certain teaching style or subject matter, does not mean they cannot be successful in it. Education can be exciting and rewarding. As a tutor, it is my goal to help students learn in an way that is best suited for them and will help them to be most successful. I'm here to help them accomplish their goals. I received my Bachelor of Science in Captive Wildlife Care and Education from Unity College, a science-based college that focuses in hands-on education. Professional experience in scientific facilities dedicated to public education such as the Alaska SeaLife Center and the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies have given me personal experience in the field of science/science education, making me uniquely qualified to tutor in that subject. As a published writer with strong academic success in English courses I am also qualified to tutor Reading, Writing, and English. My strong organizational skills and academic excellence has also prepared me for tutoring in College Application Essay Writing and Admissions.
