My curriculum vitae: *Bachelor's degree in French; Computer Science minor (Mathematics heavy) *Master's degree in Secondary French *Additional coursework in Spanish; graduate methods grades 1-6; reading *NY state certification: grades 1-12, Spanish and French *Microcredential in the Science of Reading, P-12 *Taught in public and private schools at the secondary level (grades 6-12) for 10 years *Taught at the college level for 10 years, and assessed students seeking college credit for life experience *Teach online French and Spanish classes, elementary level to adult, using many real-life, online materials; tutor students *Former item writer for NY State world language exams in NY, prior to it becoming an exam written at the local level *Graded NY State Elementary and Secondary Math, ELA and Science exams for several years *Home tutored students at several school districts for many years *Graded tests for students seeking certification as French or Spanish teachers, or for a bilingual extension on their current teaching license *Attend, at least annually, world language conferences to update teaching methodology; member of NYSAFLT *Spent 4 summers studying abroad *I've been with Varsity Tutors since 2015! It is very rewarding to see my students succeed in learning, especially when they have that aha! moment after mastering a difficult concept. I have worked extensively with the new NY state standards and ACTFL (national) guidelines.
