I am an experienced tutor and classroom teacher with a passion for helping students learn - especially when it doesn't come easy. I love teaching math, especially since I know that it can be hard. While I specialize in working with middle and high school students, I have worked with students as young as kindergarten and those well into adulthood.

I am about to begin graduate school as a PhD Student in Condensed Matter Physics. I am currently working at an experimental physics lab at the University of Maryland, College Park.

I am majoring in Biology, minoring in Business, and on the Pre-med track. I also attended a competitive specialized high school located in New York, NY. I graduated with honors and recognition in Biology Research & with special recognition by the Guidance Department. I have also been dancing for the last seven years and am versed in modern, hip-hop, contemporary, kathak, and Bhangra. I have also been a professional photographer for the last 4 years. I am involved in several organizations at Cornell and hold leadership positions in several. I have conducted original research through the American Museum of Natural History, and upon graduating from Cornell, I hope to enter the Healthcare Management/Consulting field or go to medical school.

I am a Dartmouth graduate. I am currently working on my med and business endeavors. I have not only an interest, but a motivation to help others. I have helped students get into Ivy League schools as well as other top universities across the country with top scholarships. I tutor in all subjects from French to Essay Writing and Algebra to Chemistry! I want my students and tutees to see the value in themselves and know that they can accomplish anything with determination and hard work! Realizing you can do it is half the battle and working hard to bring that dream to fruition is the other half!

I'm not working with students, I enjoy playing classical piano and hiking to all the corners of the world.

I am a 7th grade English/Language Arts teacher at Gary Comer College Prep Middle School in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood of Chicago, IL. I have also taught math in self-contained and remedial setting.

I am a graduate student who will start their PhD from University of Maryland in Applied Mathematics this fall. I completed my MSc in Applied Mathematics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich in Switzerland. I did my Bachelor in Science, majoring in Mathematics, from Lahore University of Management Science in Pakistan.

I am a recent graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where I received my B.F.A. in Drama with a minor in Applied Theatre. During my time at NYU, I studied at the Atlantic Acting School and the Experimental Theatre Wing, sang in a choir called Drama Cantorum, and co-founded a nationally-ranked improv team called Captain Soldier. I also spent an unforgettable semester abroad at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Nowadays, I work with a theatre company called Grey Room NYC and a non-profit organization called Leave Out Violence. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing and watching basketball (Go Bulls!), enjoying funny television shows (Louie is my favorite), and playing music (guitar & piano).

I am an Educator and Activist, specializing in youth development. I have a Graduate Degree in Women's & Gender Studies and have previously worked as a high school math teacher, academic & test prep tutor, nanny, after school program coordinator, and manager of youth programs at a Chicago-based non-profit. I am Jewish, can speak some Spanish, am a trained domestic violence advocate, and love reading, cooking and traveling! I tutor multiple levels of academic Math, Spanish, and ACT & SAT prep (focusing on Math/English sections). I am also available to help with high school and college level writing, and college admissions essays. My philosophy as a tutor is that students know more than they think they do. I like to guide my students through solving problems by using their prior knowledge and experience, and by asking questions so that they can participate as much as I do. My favorite thing about being an educator is the relationships I build with my students.

I am well versed in both subject areas. My student evaluations were always very high, and I focused on making History fun and relevant to things happening today. I try to take history from boring facts to interesting connections that tell a story and explain why events come about.

I am always happy to help someone in any subject than I can. I enjoy working with students of all ages, and I want to see every one of them succeed!

I am also gifted in some of the fine arts. I am currently working toward obtaining my BS/MS in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. As a tutor, I will give my all to help each and every student not only do well in their current class or on the standardized exam they preparing for, but to give them the skills necessary to perform at high levels at every facet of their own academic careers.

I'm a former basketball player and am currently an assistant coach for Tilden High School's varsity basketball team. My other hobbies include music, movies, and football.

I am a firm believer in problem-based learning, and encourage students to ask questions and think for themselves. Although I will not provide answers or a quick and simple fix, I will provide students with guidance and encouragement as they work through problems and learn to apply familiar concepts to unfamiliar situations. I also believe strongly in teaching "to the student," and therefore adapt my teaching to fit each individual's needs and learning styles. By pinpointing and addressing students' weaknesses and creating a comfortable, nurturing environment in which they can learn, I work to help students solidify their knowledge base and learn how to learn.

I am a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany. I graduated Cum Laude in May, 2013.I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Philosophy. Since graduation, I have been coaching wrestling at a nearby high school, as well as serving at a local restaurant. I have been tutoring students since I was in high school, in subjects ranging from simple arithmetic to advanced calculus to SAT preparation. I have even tutored middle school and high school Spanish! My clients have ranged from middle school students to college students. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about mathematics. I have found that there is no correct way to tutor students, for every student has vastly different needs; therefore, I try to always teach in a way that specifically caters to each individual's specific needs. I strongly believe that a good education is key to a happy and successful life. Oftentimes, students just need the right person with the right teaching style for that education to be a fun, easy process. In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, word and number games, and spending time with my friends and family.

I am a graduate of Williams College with majors in both Chemistry and Political science. I also completed the pre-medical curriculum and plan on going to medical school. While at Williams I expanded my love of learning under professors who focused on teaching, engaging students and building relationships. I took advantage of the liberal arts course offerings and am comfortable tutoring in the core social sciences.

I am originally from the Bahamas, but I have resided in the Fort Lauderdale area for the past 15 years. I am tutor with over 10+ years of teaching experience. I have taught Math and Sciences in both The Bahamas and in schools in Broward County, Florida. I graduated from Florida International University with a BS in Biology, and while teaching in Florida I maintained certification to teach Biology and Math from grade levels 6-12 as well as middle schools sciences.
