I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in violin performance at the Juilliard School. I have tutored privately and through Chegg Tutoring, Varsity Tutors, PrepExpert, and iLearn World throughout high school and college, with most of my experience being in standardized test prep and English. The most fulfilling moments that I have with my students are when I see them applying previous lessons and skills to new challenges. I believe that a good teacher not only helps a student tackle specific, formulaic kinds of questions, but also imparts the skills necessary for adapting to the diverse intellectual challenges that life presents. My goal is always for my students to leave their sessions having learned something that will be useful for years to come, not just on the next test that they are preparing for. After all, education is a lifelong process!

I am a student at Vanderbilt University, majoring in Neuroscience while on the pre-med track. In the future, I hope to become a pediatrician. I have experience with and tutor in a wide range of subjects, and am most passionate about helping students with standardized exams. I know from personal experience that any exam score can be improved with studying and practice, no matter how frustrating or impossible it may seem. As a tutor, my goal is to listen to and address my students' needs as thoroughly as possible. Outside of academics, I love to fold origami, watch Criminal Minds, and hang out with my dog.

I am currently a fourth year medical student at the University of IL College of Medicine (graduating in May 2021), and I previously received my Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Genetics and Genomics from Northwestern University. My favorite subject to tutor is Algebra, because I believe it is the most intuitive area in math, and nothing in teaching brings me more joy than in helping students develop their own sense of intuition towards a subject.

I am a Dartmouth junior double majoring in Mathematical Data Science and Chinese Language. I have been a competitive swimmer for over 12 years and currently swim at Dartmouth College. I have always had a passion for STEM and helping others. I am a current graduate student at Boston University getting my Masters of Science in Medical Sciences and will be applying to medical school this year. I also received a Bachelors in Biology from Boston College. I am passionate about inclusion for students with developmental delays and have done clinical research in this field. I have had experience teaching students as young as 5th grade to students in high school and college. Although I have degrees in the sciences and have recent exposure to human biology courses, I am also knowledgeable in other subjects such as English grammar and Reading Comprehension.

I am currently a student at Columbia University, majoring in American Studies and Latin American Studies. I have been tutoring for seven years and I have worked with students of all ages - from Kindergarteners to other college students. Tutoring brings me so much joy, and I consider myself to be a compassionate and enthusiastic teacher. I am a rising junior at the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, I'm studying in a 5 year dual-degree, dual certificate program called CASE (Combined Accelerated Studies in Education) to receive a bachelor's in Applied Developmental Psychology, a master's in education, a teaching certificate in PK-4th General Education, and a teaching certificate in PK-8th Special Education. I am currently in my second year at the University of Kansas. I am majoring in secondary history and government education and minoring in art history. Most of my tutoring experience comes from high school, where I peer tutored a student in her world history class. As an upperclassman, I also gained a lot of mentoring experience on my school's debate team as I helped new debaters learn the ropes of the activity. As my intended college degree reflects, I am most excited about teaching history, government, and art history classes, but I have a strong background in English as well. As a former AP and honors high school student, I would love to share the strategies that I found to be the most successful. I believe education not only improves society, but can help shape students to their fullest potential. I would love to be someone who facilitates that development. Outside of academics, I am a total bookworm, my favorite TV show is The Good Place, and I try to spend as much time outside as I can without getting a sunburn.
