We spent the time reviewing for his upcoming test by covering chi-square tests, Anova tests, regression, and correlation. These tests were used to determine the statistical significance of the resulting chi scores, F scores, and correlation coefficients. Next we moved on to linear regression. We studied the student's professor's notes and I explained how to find a regression line and what it means. Lastly, we did an overall review on the topics on his final. Today was our last session and I believe the student is ready to take his final tomorrow.

The student and I went over simple linear regression. We went through his classes lecture slides and I explained to him the theoretical concepts behind regression, and then we broke it down into simple linear regression. We talked about the interpretation of the results of a regression, because normally you enter the data into the computer and get back regression and analysis of variance tables. The interpretation is a key part of regression and after the theoretical aspects were understood we spent a lot of time making sure he knew how to analyze the results.
