Learning was a daunting experience, but I overcame because someone taught me the tools pertinent for success. Now I would like to help other students achieve success. My experience involves teaching middle school, high school, and college level science to struggling students like you. I enjoy literature, public speaking and making reading fun! I graduated from Sewanee: The University of The South in 2015 with a degree in English and Music, two subjects for which I have an unabating passion. While in High School, I had a teacher that helped me find personal meaning within the poems and stories that we read, and that revelation has shaped the course of my life. I want to help other students find that personal connection in their studies, as I believe that is the key to learning.As a musician, I have played the Saxophone for thirteen years, studying under the instruction of Dr. Cesar Leal as I pursued my undergraduate degree.

I am an engineer by profession and educator by vocation with a superior work ethic and over 30 years of work experience. Out of those at least 12 were teaching/tutoring students on a part-time basis on STEM and business subjects in English and Spanish. I have also served as a corporate trainer, Red Cross instructor, and Boy Scouts Leadership Development trainer.

I'm an experienced senior software engineer with special interest in teaching math, computer science, software engineering and machine learning.I have a Masters degree in Computer Engineering specializing in Artificial Intelligence and I am passionate about applying math, software engineering and machine learning to solve real world problems.I personally started learning about science, math and computers when I was 15 and I have never stopped learning since. I hope to be able help others gain the same love and interest for these topics that I have found so rewarding in my life.

I graduated from Belmont University with a doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2004. Since then I have worked with clients of all ages in a variety of settings including home health, schools, inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition, I have over 7 years of experience teaching occupational therapy coursework in postsecondary settings; five of those years were as a Program Director. Under my leadership, each cohort's NBCOT pass rate exceeded ACOTE's requirements.In 2017, I became a certified yoga instructor and two years later, in 2019, furthered my wellness education journey by earning a personal training certificate through National Academy of Sports Medicine and also became a licensed massage therapist. I understand the complexity of preparing for national board exams and completing the required coursework. I am here to support you in your efforts to become a professional health practitioner. My MA in English with a concentration in Rhetoric and Composition, together with my MA in Adult Education and Continuing Education, qualified me to have a stellar forty-three-year career as a full-time college professor predominately in the University System of Georgia. I have successfully instructed multiples of thousands of students with varying degrees of academic abilities, beginning with at-risk to advanced learners. A substantial amount of my career was spent preparing these learners to pass standardized essay exams, computerized COMPASS Writing Skills Exams, and COMPASS Reading Skills Exams. Pass rates ranged from eighty to one- hundred percent. The subjects I am most passionate about teaching are all types of Writings (Expository, Argumentative, Business, Technical, and Research Writing) and Reading skills (comprehension, main idea, inference, vocabulary, etc.) on the middle school, high school, and college levels with all the ancillary subjects such as practical grammar, syntax, editing, standardized essay exams, computerized editing and reading exams, as well as computerized exams, such as ACT, SAT, and ACCUPLACER. I am equally prepared to tutor GED students. My philosophy about education is that all students can learn with the right amount of quality instruction and two-hundred percent effort. Additionally, a quality education is a necessity for a quality life. During my leisure time, I enjoy research and writing, listening to relaxing music, and watching football and basketball.

I am a current medical student who enjoys working with kids and tutoring. Medical school can get a lot, but teaching has become one of my hobbies over the years. I love teaching as it is my way to help share knowledge (as I strongly believe learning and teaching are the best ways to continue exercising the brain). I began tutoring in high school, and I continued to tutor in undergrad when I was at Georgia Institute of Technology. My approach to teaching is very student based, as I like to understand what motivates my students and teach them as per their taste of learning.

I am a young engineer with experience in the aerospace and automotive industries. I am a graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering. I have also worked previously in the education field teaching multiple subjects including math, science, and English from the elementary school level all the way to university students. I enjoy teaching most subjects but my favorite subjects to teach are any math or physics. From my experiences, I have developed a philosophy in that students learn best when they enjoy studying and are involved. So when possible, I try to approach teaching in a way that is not only informative but also interesting. I also try to guide students on the topics they struggle instead of just lecturing on principles and concepts as I feel that when students actively experience subjects, they are more likely to understand material and how to apply it. While I am not working, I enjoy traveling, playing sports (usually basketball), video gaming, and cooking.
