Session Summaries by LSAT Tutors

LSAT Tutoring review by Jessica in Denver, CO
This was my first session with the student, and it went very well! I talked with the parents about the student's progress so far in preschool and about the skills they'd like her to continue working on. Our goals will be working on letters and sounds, counting past 30, writing letters and numbers, and drawing shapes. We began with a review of letters by sight -- she was able to identify almost all letters and was able to name the sounds made by about 75% of letters! Then we worked on identifying beginning sounds; we worked on words that start with B, R, and M. The student is off to a great start, and I am very excited to be working with her!

The student and I reviewed how she felt about the SAT and began discussing the ACT. She was really concerned with science, so we worked on the science practice session. We went over strategies for the test, how to read and mark up the sections, and what the science test would ask. She was doing much better on the practice by the time I left.
