Artificial Intelligence in the World is an introductory course that guides students through the concepts, tools, and building blocks of artificial intelligence. This course provides students with a broad overview of how AI is used in decision-making and problem-solving worldwide. Students will learn how ethics impacts AI and will also have the opportunity to explore the various parts of AI with hands-on activities through the use of chatbots and other exciting interactives.

Psychology 2 expands on the material from Psychology 1 and covers new topics such as intelligence, research methods, the brain, sensation, perception, sleep, social psychology, culture, diversity, emotion, famous studies, and global psychology.

AICE Psychology is designed to enable students to develop a greater knowledge and understanding of psychological research, think independently and make informed judgments on ethical issues, and apply their knowledge to novel situations and current debates. Students will be asked to analyze core studies with consideration for the following key concepts: nature versus nurture, ethics in psychological research, choice of psychological research methods, the idea that no single view in psychology is definitive, and the relevance of psychology in contemporary society. In this honors-level course—the third and final in the hospitality and tourism program of study—you’ll learn about the marketing principles, social media strategies, and operational procedures that marketing professionals must know. You’ll learn about the sales and management techniques, industry regulations, and entrepreneurship skills necessary to succeed in the industry. Through a series of creative projects, you’ll also explore how the marketing department works alongside other departments to meet sales goals and ensure the company’s success. This course is a part of the Career and Technical Education programs, and students who wish to do so have additional study opportunities that may lead to the Social Media Strategist certification.

Culinary Arts 3 is an advanced-level course designed for students pursuing careers in professional cooking and baking. This course provides hands-on culinary training while developing critical industry knowledge, leadership skills, and food safety certification. A major focus of the course is ServSafe Food Manager Certification training. Students will complete the required coursework and have the opportunity to take the nationally recognized ServSafe Manager Certification Exam, which is an essential credential in many commercial kitchens.
