Student 1 and I worked on comprehension questions that she had over "The Westing Game", and we also started on some new vocabulary for her next book.  We also reviewed chemical changes for a science test she had coming up.  Student 2 and I worked on reading and comprehension and continued our work on multiplication and division.  We used flashcards and a quick fact bingo game.  I also told him about a website that he could use to practice his facts.

The student and I spent our hour today practicing math.  He is up to speed on most of the concepts. He tends to think of things in terms of concrete numbers, which can make some algebraic concepts (which are more abstract) kind of difficult.  That being said, he does really well with math.  We'll talk more about it next week at our final session!

Tonight we went over his homework which was about congruent triangles that were overlapping. The student is starting to be more talkative which is where I want him to be.  I want him to be able to discuss the mathematics with me.  It will help me teach him and help him better understand the material.

Reviewed problem set for upcoming exam. The student was already more comfortable with trigonometry and was able to complete trig-related problems on his own. We practiced problem sets with logarithms, which he was still a bit unfamiliar with, and tried some of the more "advanced" problems that required novel, non-formulaic analytic approaches.

Today, the student and I went over the lesson that he learned in school today, graphing parametric equations and changing them in rectangular equations. After finishing his homework, we reviewed the sections that he completed while I was away to make sure that he understood them completely.

Today, the student and I worked on discounted cash flows, MACRS, IRR, NPV, payback period, discounted payback period, and profitability index. She is aware of the concepts and mostly required guidance and reassurance that she is following the right logic. She was positive and responsive.
