Hello! I am a Music Technology major at New York University passionate about broadening the music industry through innovative thinking. Artistically, my experience is in live vocal performance and freelance music production in the Northern Jersey area. In the past year, I have been holding music production tutoring workshops online to help beginners getting into music. In my lessons, I like to blend creative thinking with music theory and real world industry secrets. Through fun and engaging projects, my lessons can help students understand who they are as an individual artist while developing their production skills.As a Music Technology major, my skills in audio production, engineering, music theory, aural skills, and music performance are excellent. I have four years of experience in live performance with my own band and have been a freelance music producer successfully for three. During this time, I have worked in several DAW softwares such as Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, and ProTools. Aside from my technical experience, I have written and produced film scores in an award winning film featured in the United Nations global film festival in 2017 and was later awarded a citation from the New Jersey State Assembly for extraordinary work.My goal is to benefit my students in any way I can. Whether that means helping them become more confident in their performances or developing their foundation in music production, I want to give the students resources to succeed in the incredibly complex music industry. I knew long ago that I disliked competitive standardized tests. However, I have found that a curriculum that is insightful, relevant, and driven by a passionate instructor can make education much more worthwhile and engaging for students. As a teenager, doing well in school was not my top priority. The morning of the SAT I was much more interested in listening to my mp3 player than doing well on the test. Fast forward a few years: Today I take my classes seriously and am always looking for ways to improve myself as a scholar. You might ask, "What happened during those in-between years?" The answer is that I discovered several passions. I now have a passion for seeking out ways to change the society we live in, rather than simply sitting back and criticizing it without taking action. I am also passionate about history, language-learning, mindfulness and social and environmental justice. My newly discovered passions have led me to believe that I must strive to be my best possible self in order to help others -- hence my renewed motivation in school. It has also translated into a strong desire to share what I am passionate about with other young people who are on their own journeys through the often unequal (and unfortunately sometimes boring) education system in the United States. I am interested in working as a tutor today (and a teacher in the future) because I believe that my passion for education and my story of transformation from bored to engaged student can help young people who are struggling to succeed.

I am a recent graduate of Rutgers School of Law. I went to law school not with the intention of becoming a lawyer, but instead to gain the tools necessary to become a more effective advocate and teacher. I believe that the best form of advocacy is through education, specifically teaching.

I graduated from University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. Even though, I graduated with a science degree, I had a fond love for mathematics and took Calculus I, Calculus II, and Calculus III. After college, I wanted to travel the world while teaching students and changing their lives for the better. Thus, I got my certification in teaching. Furthermore, I decided to go to Thailand and teach kids Math and English. It was an amazing experience because it taught me that teachers can change the lives of their students by giving them the attention they need. My kids taught me as much as I taught them. I believe that learning from your students doesn't make you a good teacher but a great one.I am currently tutoring kids in SAT Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus. I have a great deal of teaching experience.I have a great understanding of Math because I have taken up to Calculus III in college. Also, I am a certified teacher. I know how to make lesson plans and be prepared to teach.I have spend the last 5 years studying Biology. In college, I did some extensive research with breast cancer cells. I am a second-year Clinical Psychology Doctoral student at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Science in Society. I have been tutoring since I was in high school. I myself took IB Psychology so I understand what it's like! I love teaching so I'm very passionate about tutoring. My favorite parts of psychology are clinical, social, and the history/philosophy behind psychology. Other than psychology I love history and specifically 20th century history.

For years, helping people learn to approach problems and concepts in Math and Physics has been very satisfying to me. Finding the simplest way to think about an initially daunting idea or task and assisting others in recognizing the necessary reasoning process is a great experience. I tutor primarily Physics and Math, with a preference for Calculus because of the fact that the concepts of Calculus lend themselves so naturally to intuitive physical interpretations and analogies. I am also able to help with SAT preparation. My main hobbies include reading, playing strategy games, and watching basketball.

My interest in tutoring stems from my love of learning and passion in sharing the learning process with others. I have roughly two years of experience tutoring one-on-one and at learning centers in both high school and college. My hobbies and interested include Jogging, hiking, yoga, reading, language learning, traveling, video gaming and comic books.
