I know math and standardized tests can be "scary" subjects to many, but I am passionate about empowering each student to recognize their ability to learn and grow their skills. You can do hard things!!! I was a secondary mathematics teacher in Alabama for four years, teaching Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Discrete Math, Applications of Finite Mathematics, Geometry and Data Analysis, and Computer Science, and participating in AP Calculus, Alabama Math Science Technology Initiative (AMSTI), American College Testing (ACT), and Exploring Computer Science for Alabama (ECS4AL) training. I have a Juris Doctor (JD) from the Charleston School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University. War Eagle!! I bring over five years of tutoring experience in subjects like standardized tests (ACT, SAT, LSAT, and bar exams) and various levels of mathematics, including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. I believe in fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore concepts deeply. My goal is to connect with each student individually, tailoring my approach to their unique learning styles and interests. I am driven by the joy of seeing students achieve their academic goals and develop confidence in their abilities. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, learning, doing puzzles, and playing with my three dogs.
