I am an undergraduate at Boston College studying Cell Biology and Development. I have tutored throughout high school whether it be tutoring middle school and high school students one-on-one; or teaching competition math to students in elementary school and middle school at the Birmingham Math Academy in Birmingham, AL. I currently tutor with the BCNC tutoring program in Boston where I help elementary and middle school students one-on-one with their school work. The three subjects I enjoy teaching most are english, math, and standardized testing. I have always had a love for writing and I enjoy helping edit essays whether it's for school or admissions or just for fun! I have done competition math since the fifth grade and have placed in many state, national, and even some international tournaments. Finally, standardized testing was a major hurdle I had to cross as a high schooler. Going through the process for a few years and helping others, I have gained some insight as to how to crack these exams. The avenues that come with a good education are endless. I have learned that I am most satisfied with my learning when I am able to spread my knowledge to those who need help and are willing to be challenged. This satisfaction not only comes from my understanding of the material but more from the growth that I witness in my students (friends) in this journey.
