What is your teaching philosophy?

Tutoring is student-led in that students are encouraged to ask questions, and I'll guide them to the solution.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

Discuss expectations! We can't consider a tutoring session to be a success unless we have a goal in mind. The student and I (and occasionally their parent) will discuss what we would like to work on, and we discuss after a session what was covered.
