About Me

I am an experienced educator with over five years of classroom experience teaching elementary through high school level students as well as experience privately tutoring students. I tutor Language Arts and Reading for students K-12, elementary and middle school science and math in addition to test prep for local/state assessments and also for private school entrance exams. I am fully certified as a teacher in both Texas and Oklahoma, and I hold a Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Louisville and a Masters of Arts in Religion from Liberty University. I love to teach and tutor because of the personally rewarding nature of seeing students grow and overcome challenges to becoming successful in the classroom. My teaching philosophy is that all students have the capacity to learn. As an teacher, my teaching style reflects an awareness of the diverse learning needs of individual students and I strive to meet them where they are and provide appropriate learning tools to help them to get to where they need to be. Outside of teaching and tutoring I am very artistic and avid crafter as well as a writer. I love to make things, and I own a small handmade candle and bath product company.
