If you want to learn how to do math and is willing to do the work, then I am your tutor. I graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. I was trained on solving mathematical equations and doing calculation. My favorite calculus class was Calculus II and my favorite branch within mathematics is Discrete Mathematics. Discrete Mathematic is introduces set theory, probability topics. This course has influenced me in my career.I was a Teaching Assistant when I was doing Undergraduate study. I led weekly recitation periods where I answered students' questions on materials they were learning in class. Those who did well in class were those who were trying to do as much as they understand. I always cheered the students on when they are doing well and encouraged them when I think they need a little help. After college, I went on to work for Prudential where I took Actuarial Exams for my career development. The Actuarial Exams are professional license exams that build on calculus, probability, statistics and advanced statistics topics. I find what I learned in my undergraduate study extremely applicable in my daily work.Currently, I am studying for another actuarial exam. I want to be a tutor where I can inspire students to like math and practice math problems. Everyone who is willing to learn can be good at this subject. It is applying logics in problem solving and these logics are rules where one needs to memorize, but practice repetitively will help the memorization process. I look forward to work with you.

I am a senior biomedical engineering undergraduate and chemical biology masters student at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken New Jersey. I have a vested interest in the performing arts, love going to the gym, and hanging out with my fraternity brothers. While at Stevens I have spent a lot of time doing research in cell biology and chemistry, while working for the Academic Support Center, tutoring freshmen and sophomores in a variety of subjects. My favorite subjects include biology and calculus! When I teach, I am very passionate about building a students foundation in a topic. If this is done successfully, the student instantly moves away from trying to memorize facts and is equipped with the skills necessary to achieve a fuller understanding of the subject. One of my many mantras is and always will be:"Don't memorize..... think, learn, understand."

The journey of discovering, rediscovering, inventing and reinventing myself has begun.I am a rising freshmen at Rutgers University-Camden, majoring in Finance but intensely passionate about all branches of Mathematics. After graduating from high school from India, I started attending Rutgers that has been a major boost to my career path. I am proud to say that I have perfect grades, which means I have a 4.0 GPA until now. I have a top 5% rank in all my classes, and a valedictorian in most of my courses. Deemed responsible, hardworking and ambitious by all my professors, I have received great recommendations from them.I have been tutoring Mathematics to my peers and juniors ever since high school. I am confident that I am a good tutor, since my friends always come to me for help in Algebra, PreCalc and Calculus since they regard my teaching style as easy and interesting. However, I would like to add that I am a pusher- I push myself to the best I can be, and I would push and motivate my students to be their best too.Outside academics, I have a lot of hobbies. I watch TED talks, write computer programs, listen to music and read. I also love roller-skating and ice-skating. I am also passionate about community service and I receive a scholarship from my college for my community service engagement.I would like to believe that I am not afraid to dream big and work towards it fearlessly. If youre looking for somebody who loves what she does and does what she loves, I am a perfect fit.
