I have been an SLP for 19 years working in an educational setting and private practice working with the pediatric population. I attended Bowling Green State University for undergraduate and The University of Akron for graduate school.

I taught high school Spanish classes for 25 years and tutoring for 5 years. I have found that speaking Spanish, music, repetition and review help the student understand the language much better. I believe in interaction and use the motto "Every Student Every Day."

In the past, I have had great experience working as an English tutor. I did one-on-one English tutoring with K-12 Chinese students and also taught classes of small sizes for four years. The subjects were mainly English reading and speaking. Also, I have taught English with college students for nine years and instructed them pass national English tests, TOEFL, and IELTS for two and a half years. In 2013-2014, I was accepted by a Fulbright program and taught Chinese at Truman State University. The content of my teaching was Chinese writing, grammar, speaking, and reading. All through these years, I really love working with my students. I have great patience and enthusiasm to motivate them in learning languages. I feel great joy and accomplished when I see my students make progress and achieve their goals with my help. As for teaching, I am always punctual and plan lessons carefully beforehand. Besides, I am very flexible in terms of adjusting my teaching methods to work with different students.

I graduated from Malone University in Canton, Ohio in May of 2001 with a bachelor if arts in English. Then I moved to Florida where I substituted and eventually taught full time English for grades 6-12. I have coached football, basketball, softball and flag football both boys and girls. I moved back to Ohio about 10 years ago and completed an Alternative pathway to teacher certification here which allows me to teach English Language Arts and Reading to grades K-12. I taught fourth grade two years ago, third grade this past year and I will have the same class and teach them again this year in fourth grade. I enjoy teaching because education is so worthwhile in that it can open windows and doors to a more rewarding future. I come from parents who were both career educators and as a family we believe in the power and rewards that students gain from learning.

Since my introduction to the subject, chemistry has intrigued me. I believe the subject can be fun, easy, and useful. In tutoring, I hope to help others see chemistry this way. I have experience tutoring and seem to get students to understand concepts. My belief is that most students can consistently get the right solutions with a little practice and sometimes help thinking in the right direction.

I am a 2006 graduate of Green High School, where I was a three-sport athlete: cross country, basketball and track. I continued her education at the University of Toledo, where I obtained a teaching degree for grades 7-12 with a focus on integrated sciences.Upon graduation in 2011, I taught chemistry for three years at Canton McKinley, where I coached the boys distance track and was the National Honor Society adviser. I also completed my master's degree with an emphasis on chemistry education while teaching at McKinley.I left McKinley in 2014 and started teaching at Archbishop Hoban High School, where I taught chemistry, biology and am currently taking on the role of AP Chemistry teacher. I have worked with many students while serving as the student council moderator.When I am teaching I can be found on adventures with my husband and three dogs, Mickey, Minnie and Brutus. I love all sports, especially Cleveland sports teams; Indians, Cavs, and even the Browns. If you couldn't tell from the dog names, I love everything Disney, and of course, the Ohio State Buckeyes. I am very fun-loving, silly, sarcastic, and loves jokes. I love all new thrill-seeking adventures and most importantly I love my job as an educator where I can watch students grow.

I completed a Master’s Degree at the University of Michigan.My specialty is helping “B” and “C” students learn the skills they need to become “A” students. This is important because “A” grades are the key to prestigious internships, the best universities, and the most fulfilling careers.I teach “A” grades skills, which are purposeful actions that consistently lead to high test scores. The topics I cover for “A” grades include time management, personal productivity, test preparation, test performance, memory techniques, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and special academic writing strategies for “A” papers.As a private tutor, my focus is always on helping students make real gains in their achievement level. I will show you what to do to achieve high scores on tests and exams as well as what instructors are looking for in “A” papers and essays.
