As a dedicated math tutor with a Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics from Western Carolina University, I have over two years of experience supporting middle school and high school students, particularly in algebra and foundational math skills. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a genuine understanding of mathematical concepts rather than merely focusing on test scores. I encourage students to think critically and solve problems independently, allowing me to tailor my support based on their unique thought processes. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy tackling new mathematical challenges, which further enhances my own understanding of the subject and enriches my teaching.
