About Me

I'm a certified math educator with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I'm certified in EC-6 and 7 to 12 Math Education and have experience teaching high school (Geometry and Algebra I) and elementary math, most recently working with 5th graders. I currently tutor students in grades 3 through 5, focusing on 5th-grade math, which I find especially rewarding due to its introduction of key mathematical concepts and its emphasis on developing critical problem-solving skills. My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's learning needs. I focus on building understanding and confidence, and I love making math feel less intimidating and more enjoyable. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and continuing to learn myself! I'm passionate about helping students reach their full potential and feel proud of their progress.
